  • DJ /Rupture will headline the Unnatural Star Arrangements party at Trans-Pecos on Saturday, October 10th. Respected selector, author and Dutty Artz label boss DJ /Rupture, real name Jace Clayton, has only played a handful of New York DJ sets in the last year or two. Instead he's been focusing on projects such as his Sufi Plug-Ins, a free suite of music software "based on non-western notions of sound and a poetic interface." Clayton's latest composition uses algorithms to re-interpret the ups and downs of the New York Stock Exchange for a four-piece voice arrangement. Additional sets for next month's Unnatural Star Arrangements gig (named after a track from Jeff Mills' 2014 album, Emerging Crystal Universe) come courtesy of frequent collaborator and Sci-Fi & Fantasy label boss Lamin Fofana, as well as VHVL and Dutch E Germ.
