- The Acid Documents will be released on October 30th.
London's Soul Jazz Records has revealed details of The Acid Documents, the latest album from Chicago artist Hieroglyphic Being.
The Acid Documents features music that first appeared on a limited run of homemade CD-Rs released exclusively at the Sounds Of The Universe shop in 2014. It's the first of two albums Hieroglyphic Being, real name Jamal Moss, has in the works for Soul Jazz—the other one, from Moss's Africans With Mainframes project, is slated for a January 2016 release. The Acid Documents will come out on vinyl and digital formats on October 30th, with the CD edition following on November 13th.
Moss also has an album in the works for RVNG titled We Are Not The First, which sees him collaborating with Sun Ra Arkestra leader Marshall Allen and a host of free jazz players.
