The next edition of Guy Gerber's Rumors party at Beachouse in Ibiza has been cancelled as local police continue to target beach parties on the island.
A post on the Rumors Facebook page blamed the cancellation on "new rules and regulations that have been implemented on the island." The post adds: "This sudden news is unfortunate, but we are still very happy that we had so many wonderful nights and made so many people happy. Because of these restrictions we can't continue in a way that will preserve the magic that we've experienced together every Sunday."
It's not the first time Rumors has been targeted this summer—the music was switched off for an hour on September 13th after a visit from plain-clothes police officers. Gerber says he hopes the Rumors closing party, due to take place on October 4th, will still go ahead.
Several other parties—including Destino Ibiza and residencies from tINI and Carl Craig—have fallen foul of Ibiza police in 2015.
