The Detroit promoter has posted party plans for the next few months.
Leading Detroit promoter Paxahau has revealed details for their next run of events, leading into early December.
Best known for presenting the globally-known Movement festival at Hart Plaza, Paxahau also maintains a regular presence year-round with parties in Detroit. Eight more are coming up, and seven of them will happen at TV Lounge, starting on Thursday the 24th. That one, celebrating the Detroit Hustles Harder clothing brand's seven-year anniversary and serving as an official afterparty for the inaugural Murals In The Market arts gathering (which started this week), will feature sets from Will Sessions, DJ Godfather and more.
October sees Paxahau hosting Cassy and Norm Talley on Saturday the 10th, and The Martinez Brothers on Friday the 23rd. Then, a two-night weekend has been sorted out for early November. At Populux, which opened in the former Magic Stick space earlier in the year, Paxahau will team with Carl Craig's Detroit Love party, with an all-local lineup featuring Octave One, Stacey Pullen and Craig himself, along with Paxahau residents Chuck Flask and Keith Kemp. The next evening, back at TV Lounge, Kemp will be on hand again, this time to support Paco Osuna.
Looking to late November, Josh Wink and Marc Houle will play Wednesday the 23rd's show (on the eve of Thanksgiving), and a couple days later Seth Troxler tops the bill at a party called Tiger Dick. Lastly, for now at least, Paxahau has Sian confirmed for Saturday, December 5th.
