  • The Field will hit the States next month for quick three-night tour. The expansive, ambient-ish techno that Swedish artist Axel Willner produces (and performs live) as The Field has made him a fixture on Kompakt, home to all four of his main moniker's albums, most recently Cupid's Head, from 2013. (That album's title track would later get the remix treatment from label co-founder Wolfgang Voigt's revered Gas project, among other artists.) He's also pursued a few related projects, like the 2012, Magazine-issued Loops Of Your Heart LP and last year's Hands album for Ecstatic. On his next US trip, he'll first hit Brooklyn on Wednesday, October 7th for a PopGun Presents show at Baby's All Right. Ghostly International artist Heathered Pearls will also play that one, supporting his new album Body Complex. The next night, Thursday the 8th, has Willner playing Chicago's Smart Bar—his first club date in the Windy City in nearly four years. Then on Friday the 9th, he'll touch down in Miami for a set at III Points Festival, whose three-day lineup also includes the likes of Roman Flügel, Nicolas Jaar and Mano Le Tough. Tickets to that Baby's All Right gig are available on RA.
