  • The next album on Rvng Intl. is a collaboration between Hieroglyphic Being and J.I.T.U. Ahn-Sahm-Buhl. Due out October 30th, We Are Not The First sees recent ORIGINS film subject Jamal Moss hitting the studio with a troupe of musicians that includes Marshall Allen (best known as Sun Ra's Arkestra bandleader), Daniel Carter, Greg Fox, Shelley Hirsch, Shahzad Ismaily, Elliott Levin, Rafael Sanchez and Ben Vida. The album, which was recorded in the space of a week in Brooklyn, sees the ensemble experimenting with cosmic jazz and electronic music. RVNG say We Are Not The First features "bugged-out percussion, modular mayhem, flurries of free improvisation, and voices carrying through the air."
