- Electronic Recordings From Maui Jungle Vol. 1 will see release on November.
An album recorded in the Maui jungle by Anthony Child, AKA Surgeon, will see release through Editions Mego this November.
Child recorded Electronic Recordings From Maui Jungle Vol. 1 during a stay in Haiku-Pauwela, Hawaii, in January and February of 2015. "The jungle of Maui seems to have acted as a stimulus for this exercise in concentration and trance," says Editions Mego. "Birds, insects and raindrops are allowed to break through, while you can sense the thick, humid air and deep colours of the surrounding resonating in the pastose synth lines."
This year has already seen a Surgeon boxset land on Tresor, while Child has also continued his ongoing live collaboration with Lady Starlight—the pair will perform together at the forthcoming Unsound festival in Krakow, Poland.
