  • Marc Schneider will cross the pond for a quick DJ tour starting in Chicago on Sunday. Schneider has had his hand in lots of pots over the years, starting his DJ career in Germany in 1992 and beginning to play internationally just a few years later. He's held a residency at the famed Golden Pudel club in his hometown, Hamburg, and regularly appears at Panorama Bar. Schneider's also dropped a couple EPs on French imprint Circus Company, but he may be most well-known for his impact on the distribution end of things: after working with Container Distribution, he founded Wordandsound and What People Play, which are essential sources for new house and techno releases. He begins the tour in the Windy City at the Industry Brunch in a TBA location. For that gig, he'll be joined by L.I.E.S. affiliate Antenes as well as Smart Bar booker Olin. Next Wednesday, Schneider hits San Francisco's Housepitality weekly before heading back underground for Superjam in LA on Saturday, September 12th. For that one, Wicked crew veteran DJ Garth and TK Disko of Split Secs round out the bill at a late night, TBA location party. The Berlin lynchpin wraps things up at the Panic Room on the 13th. Listen to a recent live recording from Schneider below.
Tickets to the Chicago and San Francisco shows are available here on RA.
