  • Sacred Grounds will celebrate 20 years of parties with a six turntable, back-to-back set from Mark Farina and Doc Martin on September 5th. Sacred Grounds got its start in 1995, the brainchild of Carlos "G-Dubbs" and a group of friends. Over their lengthy run, they've hosted the likes Marques Wyatt, Derrick Carter and DJ Sneak, all while operating with the classic LA rave ethos of "hoping for the best while expecting the worst." Doc Martin, one of the stars of the '90s West Coast scene, recently marked nine years of his own party, Sublevel, and says "[20 years of Sacred Ground] is an amazing accomplishment in itself" in the press release for the event. Mushroom Jazz man Mark Farina will head down from the bay to spin alongside Martin. The duo will man six turntables, a Roland TB-303 and an 808. Tickets to Sacred Grounds' 20 year anniversary are available here on RA.
