The Chicago promoter also has Wolf + Lamb, Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons and more booked for parties in September.
Chicago promotions company Paradigm has four events on the schedule for September.
Paradigm has hosted Marcel Dettmann, Magda, Konrad Black and Frank & Tony, among others, in the Windy City this summer. Their next party, celebrating Labor Day weekend and the end of the season, will take place Saturday, September 5th. Bronx-born house duo The Martinez Brothers, Recondite (plying his moody, acidic sound with a live set, as usual) and Sian are the guests at that one, which will happen at an undisclosed warehouse location.
September 13th has Paradigm heading back to Headquarters Beercade—a combined bar and arcade, where they helped host Soul Clap earlier in the year—for another daytime "Funky Brunch" bash, this time with Wolf + Lamb.
Later in the month, the weekend of Friday the 25th looks to be a busy one. That night, at The Chop Shop & First Ward, will mark the midwest debut of Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons, which put out an album back in May. Then Saturday evening, at a TBA spot, Paradigm will link up with Black Asteroid's Pitch Black tour. That show has Bryan Black joined by Cold Cave, with techno figurehead Function (who recently took part in our new The art of DJing series) and local Oktave man Jeff Derringer also confirmed for sets.
