  • Visionist's first album, Safe, is coming out via PAN in October. The album is Louis Carnell's second collaboration with PAN founder Bill Kouligas—the pair recently announced a joint label called Codes. On Safe, Carnell follows a run of experimental grime EPs for labels like Lit City Trax, Leisure System and recent label of the month Diskotopia. "Comfort, protection, salvation—this is what we search for," Carnell says. "We are taught that a life of no worries is better for us, and therefore we try to create one that is 'Safe.'" PAN says the record boils the South London artist's sound down to "manipulated folk, pop and R&B acapellas, icy synths and metallic drum samples." Listen to album cut "Victim" below.
