  • COMA are back with a new full-length called This Side Of Paradise, due out on October 9th. The Cologne-based duo of Georg Conrad and Marius Bubat have been Kompakt regulars since 2009. They've released a record on the Cologne label every year since then, including their 2013 debut album, In Technicolour. This new one is said to continue in the duo's pop-oriented and highly melodic direction, with the label promising that "these tracks appeal to fans who love their music at home and in the club." While In Technicolour took three years to complete, This Side Of Paradise was compiled in six months. "It's very much a file-sharing album coming from the cloud," says the band of the process. "We still had those collective jam sessions where we would pluck away for hours, but in the end we realized that one can indulge in too much indiscriminate jamming. From time to time, we needed a certain distance—from the music itself, and from each other, to keep things fresh and focused." This Side Of Paradise features collaborations with BPitch Control's Dillon and MIT singer Edi Winarni (who also appeared on In Technicolour). You can check out lead single "Lora" below.
