- The Canadian producer's TW 12-inch will hit stores in September.
WNCL Recordings is celebrating five years with a Kevin McPhee EP due out on September 18th.
It's also the UK label's first release of 2015, following a busy 2014 run that counted a compilation EP and records from Ekoplekz and founder West Norwood Cassette Library among its riches. TW (named for the Tommy Wright sample it uses) is the first time a new McPhee track has appeared on the label since 2012's In Circles EP, and it features the original "TW," an acapella version and two remixes—one from the label boss and one from newer signee C.E.O. The reclusive Ontarian, who recently relocated from Toronto to Oshawa, has slowed down his release schedule since his debut, with only a handful of records landing in the past three years. TW is his second of 2015, after the Gerry Read collaboration "FRUMMPPP."
