  • A new album from Kelpe, called The Curved Line, is on the way. London's Kel McKeown has long been known as a purveyor of leftfield, sample-heavy beats. The Curved Line is his fifth full-length, and the second to come on his own label DRUT, which he launched in 2013. Prior to that, in the mid- to late-'00s, he was a fixture on the now-shuttered D.C. Recordings. This new effort, which will come out digitally on August 28th before a double-vinyl release in early September, is described as McKeown's "most urgent yet." A few of The Curved Line's tracks have already been posted for streaming, including "Doubles Of Everything", "Valerian" and most recently "Calumet". You can also check out video of Kelpe's recent appearance at a Boiler Room session in Mexico City below.
