  • Loco Dice has announced details of his second album, Underground Sound Suicide, coming out on Ultra Records. Dice's debut album, 7 Dunham Place, landed back in 2008. He says that record was about his move to Brooklyn alongside Desolat co-founder Martin Buttrich, and explains that he needed to take some time to release straight-up club tracks in the time since. For this new record, he takes a far-reaching collaborative approach, enlisting UK MC Giggs, influential American hip-hop producer Just Blaze, Miss Kittin, CLR boss Chris Liebing and a grip of others. Dice worked on the LP as he carved out a life in Düsseldorf. He says "there have been so many changes around me since my first album that became a narrative for Underground Sound Suicide and in a way, I used music as a transmitter." Though 7 Dunham Place dropped on his own label, he'll release Underground Sound Suicide through the large US dance music imprint Ultra Records, adding that Ultra's manager David Waxman has supported him since his gigs in the early '00s. The first single off Underground Sound Suicide, "Get Comfy," will be available as a download on July 31st.
