The Rue de Tiquetonne cellar will shut its doors at the end of July.
Paris's Le Malibu will host its last party on Saturday, July 25th.
Located in the cellar of a former African restaurant, Le Malibu launched in 2012 with Sundae founders Giorgio and Céline taking care of the bookings. With the exception of a few international artists, the club has mainly hosted local DJs and collectives like Get The Curse, Bass y Bouzouk and D.KO, which has a tribute EP to the club in the pipeline. On a Facebook post published on July 6th, the club explained the closure was due to noise complaints. The message also alluded to a possible new venue opening in September, though details are still scarce.
Highlights of the July program include sets from Renart on the 16th and Mike Shannon on the 18th. For its final night, Le Malibu will host South American DJs Manglus and Gulp on July 25th.
