- Richard D James will release his first AFX material in ten years on Warp this August.
Warp Records have announced details of the first AFX record in a decade.
Richard D James, AKA Aphex Twin, last released material as AFX on the Analord series, which ran from 2003 through 2005 on his own Rephlex label. August 21st will see the release of Orphaned Deejay Selek (2006-2008) on Warp. The label says the EP will be available on 12-inch, CD (in die-cut and spot glossed sleeves), digital and streaming formats. The record will likely be more techno and electro-focused than most of the recent Aphex Twin material, with track titles like "dmx acid test" and "simple slamming b 2."
