  • Four Tet is releasing a live recording of him and the late Steve Reid covering "Strings Of Life." American drummer Steve Reid was a frequent collaborator of Kieran Hebden's—the two released several albums together and Hebden was also part of the Steve Reid Ensemble. One thing that was never officially released was their cover of Derrick May's "Strings Of Life," recorded at the Green Man Festival in Wales in August 2006 and later played by Gilles Peterson. Four Tet revealed today that the record would be finally be released soon, saying that he was "picking up stock." Shortly after, he uploaded the recording to SoundCloud, which you can stream below. All proceeds from the 12-inch will go towards the Steve Reid Foundation. The vinyl will be "available soon" and will come with hand-printed sleeves by London artist Marta Dos Santos.
