Mike Huckaby pays tribute to Sun Ra in NYC

- The Detroit selector has prepared a set of edits on reel-to-reel tapes for the occasion.
- Mike Huckaby's Sun Ra tribute will go down at an undisclosed Brooklyn location on Friday, July 17th. Huckaby will arrive with a collection of Sun Ra edits on reel-to-reel tape for this dedicated set, which he'll also present in Berlin on July 1st. The Motor City DJ has released two 12-inch volumes of his own Sun Ra edits on the Dutch label Kindred Spirits and cites the experimental jazz composer as one of his greatest influences. The gig is presented by Space Is The Place as well as local DJ duo Analog Soul, who will act as support. Sequencias label boss JM De Frias, A. Arias and Donny Burlin round out the bill.
