- The San Francisco label will issue records from Miss Kittin & The Hacker, Bézier and Second Layer next month.
Dark Entries will release three new records starting July 21st.
They'll start with Bézier's new EP, Telomeres. That project is the production outlet for Honey Soundsystem member Robert Yang. (Dark Entries owner Josh Cheon is also part of that crew.) On the follow-up to his 2013 EP Ensconced, Yang works his way through Spanish new wave, Italo disco, synth punk and industrial influences.
July 21st also sees the release of World Of Rubber, a 20-track set compiling the entire recorded catalog as well as unreleased cuts from UK duo Second Layer. A side-project of post-punk group The Sound, Second Layer features the voice and guitar of Adrian Borland alongside Graham Bailey's electronic textures. The collection includes the band's 1981 debut LP World Of Rubber, two previous EPs and five demos made between 1978 and 1980.
The following week, the imprint will reveal never-before-heard tracks from Miss Kittin & The Hacker. That release culls four previously unissued demos from the French duo of Caroline Hervé and Michel Amato. The songs were recorded between 1997 and 1999 and the label says they are "distinguished by Miss Kittin's French accented voice, full of derision, as she sings about falling in love with an alien, sexy nightlife in Berlin and explicit S&M leather play."
