Mark Verbos signs with The Bunker New York for new EP

- The techno lifer will issue a four-tracker via the imprint in early July.
- Mark Verbos will release the Walk The Distance EP via The Bunker New York on July 5th. Verbos, a Milwaukee native, cut his teeth in the midwestern rave scene, releasing a raft of techno and acid records beginning in the early '90s. After focusing on synthesizer repair (in addition to production), the now NYC resident launched Verbos Electronics, a highly respected manufacturer of Eurorack synthesizer modules. Verbos describes his workflow for the label: "I've been doing this for a long time. In the beginning, there was only hardware, and it feels better to make music with physical objects. Plus, I make hardware, too," says Verbos. "I try to get to know the devices I use well enough that whatever I imagine can come from them. Techno is machine music. When I'm recording, it's just me and the machines." Verbos will also play tonight's The Bunker party alongside Shxcxchcxsh and fellow synth obsessive Massimiliano Pagliara.
