  • The second Sustain-Release festival will be held on the grounds of Camp Lakota September 11th through the 13th. The festival is the brainchild of Breaking Through subject Aurora Halal and Zara Wladawsky. While the 2014 festival focused on New York's scene of hardware-obsessed producers and DJs, the second year looks further afield. German artist Kassem Mosse receives first billing—the psychedelic house producer is set to play live. The first announcement also includes Minimal Wave boss Veronica Vasicka, Brooklyn techno torchbearer Anthony Parasole and Chicago DJ and producer The Black Madonna. 1080p artist Via App is the current bill's other live act and White Material's Galcher Lustwerk is set to DJ. Last year's festival was plagued by inclement weather, which RA's Max Pearl said did little to dampen spirits in his review. A scheduled pool party, however, didn't go off as planned. This year, Sustain-Release will give it another go and they've booked Beautiful Swimmers to headline the outdoor component. More acts will be revealed in the coming weeks, with a final announcement scheduled for June 16th. The three-day event was capped at 500 attendees last year and will expand to 700 campers in 2015. Head over to the official site for information.
