  • Low End Theory 2015 will happen at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Center on August 8th, 2015. As it closes in on a decade in existence, the Low End Theory weekly, held every Wednesday at Lincoln Heights club The Airliner, is synonymous with the woozy, hip-hop infused sound which has launched Low End regulars like Flying Lotus, AKA Steven Ellison, to international fame. Founders Daddy Kev and Nobody launched an annual festival focusing on the party's close cadre of artists in 2014. Flylo sits atop the August bill and his Odd Future collaborator Earl Sweatshirt will also perform. Thundercat, Teebs and Ras G are other artists on the bill who are associated with Ellison's Brainfeeder imprint. Daddy Kev recently told LA Weekly the festival is "trying to keep an overwhelming majority of the artist bookings as LA folks." Dibia$e, MNDSGN and Nosaj Thing are among the Angelenos filling out the bill. You can check out the full lineup on the event listing below. Watch a video recap of last year's festival below.
