- Positive Centre, Zeitgeber and Ken Karter will appear on the label's experimental series this summer.
The next three entries in Stroboscopic Artefacts' Monad series have been announced.
Stroboscopic Artefacts is well known for favoring the deeper, more experimental side of techno, and the digital-only Monad series has long been integral to that pursuit. Participants are encouraged to dive even further into abstract sounds, and veer away from the dance floor. Since Chevel's inaugural entry back in 2010, the likes of Xhin, Perc, Kangding Ray, Rrose and label boss Lucy have contributed to the cause, as well as Peter Van Hoesen and Yves De Mey's Sendai collaboration, who took care of the last installment in July 2014. (In the interim, the label stayed busy celebrating five years of operation with five compilation EPs.) Now, almost a year later, another run of Monad releases are on the way.
Monad XIX, due out on June 22nd, will come from Our Circula Sound affiliate Positive Centre. Zeitgeber—AKA Lucy and Speedy J—will be at the controls for the 20th release, which will arrive in late July. Following at the end of August is Ken Karter's Monad XXI. The efforts from Positive Centre and Karter count as each artist's debut on the label.
RA has an exclusive stream of a track from each release—tune in to Positive Centre's "Great Excavator," Zeitgeber's "An Extraordinary Man" and Ken Karter's "MX-01.11" below.
