- The M_REC LTD founder died from cancer this weekend.
Max_M has died after a battle with cancer.
The Italian producer, real name Max Magrini, succumbed to cancer after three weeks of treatment, according to a Facebook post from close friend Freddy K. Magrini had recently cancelled a gig at Tresor citing health problems.
Max_M was known as a prominent techno DJ and producer, as well as the founder and manager of the M_REC LTD and M_REC labels, which have released music from the likes of Samuli Kemppi, Brendon Moeller and Donor / Truss, in addition to Magrini's own work.
