  • Electric Zoo Festival has announced the initial lineup for their three-day event, to take place over Labor Day weekend on Randall's Island, New York City. The festival, organized by Made Event, has had a couple of tough years. The last day of the 2014 edition was cancelled due to extreme weather conditions while the final day of the 2013 instalment was called off due to MDMA-related deaths, which might explain this year's "transformed" subtitle. Following up 2014's vinyl-only tent, Made Event will hand over curatorial reins to Pete Tong, tropical house star Thomas Jack and as previously reported, the Dutch festival Awakenings, for three separate stages. In addition to superstars like The Chemical Brothers and trance heavy-hitters Above & Beyond and Ferry Corsten, Electric Zoo has signed up Kompakt man Kolsch, Ghostly's analog synth obsessive Com Truise and underground acts gone massive such as Cashmere Cat and The Martinez Brothers. Check out the full lineup on the event listing below.
