  • Tin Man and Gunnar Haslam's Romans project will release the Ambulare Aude three-tracker via The Bunker New York on June 14th. The duo debuted the project last spring with Romans 1, released on Tin Man's own Global A imprint. As is often the case with The Bunker New York, the two producers were brought together by personal connections to the long-running NYC party. The label explains: "A chance meeting at The Bunker in 2011 brought together Gunnar Haslam and Johannes Auvinen (also known as Tin Man), who became fast friends and collaborators soon after, conceiving a joint project called Romans." Auvinen speaks to the project's conceptual underpinning in a recent statement: "The Roman theme opens a world to explore beyond both of our past endeavors. In the same way Ennio Morricone may have conceived the 'Spaghetti Western' genre by fusing together various contemporary motifs and moods to conjure the spirit of a past era, we're imagining stories and scenes from the Roman era, trying to manifest narratives while celebrating the distortions we see looking through the murky lens of time." The three tracks on Ambulare Aude were formed during jam sessions in Vienna and New York. In additional Tin Man news, last week saw Auvinen announce a second EP made with Cassegrain for Infrastructure New York. Romans and Honcho's Aaron Clark have been added to the lineup for Dirty Epic's Anthology afterparty, held in Detroit on the final day of Movement. Tickets to Anthology are available here on RA.
