  • Morgan Geist has launched a new project, The Galleria, with a four-tracker named Calling Card, out on his own Environ Records June 8th. Geist's last recorded material surfaced under the name Storm Queen, whose "Look Right Through" topped the UK singles chart in 2013. Though he's reportedly at work on a Storm Queen album, Geist looks back to his native New Jersey for The Galleria, saying the music "ripples with echoes of the indigenous music of long-gone New Jersey malls and NYC radio stations: bombastic freestyle, club dubs, razor-edits and bubblegum-pop R&B." For the two tracks (each of which are given an '80s-style dub), Hyperdub's synth pop songstress Jessy Lanza takes on vocal duties. Geist also continues to tour with Darshan Jesrani as Metro Area. You can hear clips of the new record over at Decks. Tracklist A1 Calling Card A2 Calling Card (Razor Dub) B1 Mezzanine B2 Mezzanine (Up Dub) Environ Records will release Calling Card on June 8th, 2015.
