The four-day festival will also bring Omar Souleyman to Halifax later this month.
OBEY Convention will return to Halifax for its eighth year, running from May 21st to 24th.
The festival, which leans towards noise, jazz, and avant-garde electronics, will offer artist talks, workshops and live shows that span ten different venues across the city. Highlights of the wide-reaching lineup include sets from Omar Souleyman (performing Thursday at the Marquee Ballroom), Container (playing a late set at Menz and Mollyz Bar) and experimental pianist Lubomyr Melnyk, who will close out the weekend with a set at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. The schedule offers at least a dozen other events, details of which can be found at OBEY Convention's official site.
