- The North Carolina artist's hip-hop-influenced Reducer is out soon.
Tri Angle Records has just announced an LP from its latest signing, Hanz.
Hanz is the production alias of Durham-based Brandon Juhans, and Reducer is his debut proper. Made up of leftfield hip-hop productions, the label compares the LP to RZA, This Heat and Public Image LTD, calling the record a "trip into a dark, complex headspace where haunted patois vocals, industrial drums, harps, elastic basslines and dystopian hip-hop beats collide." There's no firm word on release date or tracklist yet, but Tri Angle promise Reducer soon. Have a listen to "Capsule" below.
Tri Angle will release Reducer in spring 2015.
