The fathers of footwork hit Brooklyn

- DJ Spinn, RP Boo and Traxman will go toe-to-toe in Bushwick this summer.
- AdHoc and Northside Festival will host Fathers of Footwork at Palisades on Saturday, June 13th. The event will feature sets from three of the genre's elder statesmen, including RP Boo, who is widely acknowledged as having invented the footwork sound (his earlier tracks were just compiled for a six-tracker on Planet Mu). He'll be joined by DJ Spinn, who recently appeared on Movin' Forward, Machinedrum's tribute EP to DJ Rashad, and Traxman. They'll come together with Tripletrain and Total Freedom—who RA recently interviewed—at the DIY venue Palisades in Bushwick. Watch RP Boo's set for Boiler Room in London below.
