  • MUTEK 2015, taking place in Montreal from May 27th through 31st, has announced the final portion of its lineup. The live-focused festival has already announced a handful of heavyweights like Andy Stott, Mika Vainio and James Holden, along with Anthony Naples, Fumiya Tanaka, Dasha Rush and a healthy helping of Canadian artists, too. The final piece of the program falls into place with the Expérience series, a run of free events that happen outdoors on the Parterre of the Quartier des Spectacles from 5 PM on weekdays and 3 PM on the weekend. Among the highlights for Expérience are BC-born techno producer Mathew Jonson, dEbruit, a collaborative set from DeWalta and Mike Shannon plus appearances from 1080p affiliates Neu Balance, Khotin and Project Pablo. Sunday afternoon will switch up the emphasis to DJing, with Detroit's Daniel Bell, dub maestro Adrian Sherwood and Kode9 playing that evening (along with a secret guest). The Play events, happening on Friday at the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montreal, will showcase Belgian and Québecois artists, while there also be a newly-expanded daytime program of tech and music workshops, discussions and showrooms.
