  • 4DSOUND's next residents come from the world of techno. Dubbed Techno Is Space, the series will explore "the nature of spatial forms and energetic movements within techno," with artists "reinterpreting techno through spatial sound" composed for 4DSOUND's unique multidimensional soundsystem. The first of the residents is US techno artist Mike Parker, who will work in 4DSOUND's space at Warehouse Elementenstreet from May 7th through 9th. Swedish producers Korridor and Fjäder are up next on May 11th through 16th, followed by Polegroup boss Oscar Mulero from June 3rd through 6th, Berlin's Cassegrain from June 17th through 20th and a pair of artists from the label Fullpanda, Dasha Rush and Stephanie Sykes, from July 1st through 4th. The "exploratory performances" these artists will put on during their residencies will be open to the public, though 4DSOUND cautions that ticket availability will be "very limited." More public performances are promised for later this year. To supplement the soundsystem for these performances, 4DSOUND is teaming up with SubPac to outfit participants in the performance with wearable, wireless bass units.
