Stefan Jós announces debut album, Primitives

- Flau's Raum sublabel will release the new album from Montreal's Devon Hansen in May.
- Devon Hansen will drop his first full-length as Stefan Jós, Primitives, on May 18th. The Montreal-based artist debuted his more floor-focused alias on a split cassette with Austin Cesear through Opal Tapes last year, following it up with the Things You Left Behind 12-inch on Flau sublabel Raum, which Angus Finlayson said exhibited "quietude, subtle gestures and a remarkable ear for sound design." The Japanese label is on deck for Primitives as well, where "the sober crispness of the EP is subsumed... by loose and moody rhythms, wood and metal, weird noises in wet caves and other goodies for ground-dwellers and mole people alike," according to Flau. You might know Hansen from his more experimental work under his given name, as well as his releases for ONI and Astro:Dynamics as Lotide.
