  • Floating Points is the only guest on May 8th's Far Away party in Los Angeles. The Eglo mainstay is in the states for a couple of back-to-back gigs with Four Tet, following a marathon set which closed much-loved London club Plastic People. The same club also hosted Shepherd's You're A Melody nights, which featured Floating Points and friends playing diverse (and sometimes obscure) records unmixed on EMT turntables. Far Away plans to give Floating Points a six to seven hour set in LA, a time in which the precocious record collector is likely to run through Brazilian, disco, soul and house cuts. The LA promoter also has shows with Jacques Renault, Tornado Wallace and Young Marco on the books for the rest of the year. Check out Floating Points' RA Recommended "Nuit Sonores" below.
