Robert Miles is currently recording and mixing his new album with Indian percussion specialist Trilok Gurtu. The ‘Gurtu_Miles’ collaboration which should be ready by the end of May 2003 has already sparked up interest due the partnership of two very different styles. It is a blend of nu-jazz and electronica and other artists such as Nitin Sawhney and Jon Thorne (Lamb) are currently collaborating in the studio. S:alt records (Robert’s label), is planning to upload a few edits of what has been done so far on their website (click here) very soon!
Robert and Trilok will also start touring live. Their first appearance will be at Crosslinx festival in Utrecht and Enschede (Holland) on the 27th and 29th of March.
Robert Miles and Trilok Gurtu are planning to perform and present the ‘Gurtu_Miles’ album in London, Berlin, Paris, NY, LA and SF later on this year.
