The New York deep house producer has a relationship with the Japanese label family that stretches back to 2011, but this is his first full-length for them, and his first LP since the three-part Codes & Metaphors in 2013. 5, according to the press release, focuses on the qualities of the number itself. Coming under the alias FP-Oner, a Facebook post hinted that 5 is meant as the start of a new trilogy. Judging from the clips, it falls on the jazzier, more relaxed side of the Fred P oeuvre.
