Orphx to play Surface Tension in San Francisco

- The Canadian duo will bring their live techno to F8 in April.
- Orphx will play the eighth edition of Surface Tension in San Francisco on April 17th. The longtime Sonic Groove artists recently had their EPs for Adam X's label compiled on The Sonic Groove Releases Pt. 2, their second retrospective volume for Hymen Records. Orphx member Rich Oddie's O/H (Ontario Hospital) side project also issued the Future Ready EP via Opal Tapes in January. The "rhythmic noise" sound pioneered by Oddie and Christina Sealey's Orphx has recently found new fans, as prevailing techno tastes have began to run further afield. They'll hit San Francisco after appearing at the final edition of Communikey festival in Colorado. Sutures, a bicoastal duo preparing to release their debut album on Ascetic House, will open up with a live set. Tickets to Surface Tension.008 are available on RA.
