- Astropolis has announced the main artists to play its 21st edition, taking over Brest, France, for three days from July 3rd through 5th. Having started in the early '90s, Astropolis is one of France's oldest electronic music festivals. This year's edition will kick off on Friday, July 3rd at two venues: La Carène and La Suite. La Carène, renamed Bunker Palace for the occasion, will host sets from Dixon and Apparat plus local talents Madben and Blutch, while La Suite will see John Talabot, Recondite and DVS1 perform. The following day will be Astropolis's main event. It'll take place at Manoir de Keroual, a 16th-Century manor located in woodland. True to its original rave ethos, Astropolis will feature a hardcore and gabber stage. On the Astrofloor stage, French duo TORB will bring their homemade machines to open for Rone, John Digweed, Loco Dice and Boys Noize, who's billed for a special acid set. La Cour will welcome Kowton, Marcel Fengler, Paul Woolford and Robert Hood before Lil' Louis closes the night, playing "twice as loud." Finally, the chill-out area will host Hard Wax founder Mark Ernestus for a three-hour set. Other announcements, including the daytime programme and official afterparty, will be made in the coming weeks.
