  • Marieu & Mannella will release Tecnologia Robotica via PicNic34 on May 14th. The story behind the new imprint has Italian-born, Berlin-dwelling duo The Analogue Cops (Marieu and Lucretio) using local Italian restaurant PicNic34 as a venue for regular meetings with Mannella and DIY, recent expats from their home country. The Analogue Cops—who run former label of the month Restoration Records as well as Appointment, Bratha, Parassela, Machines State Polymers and Enlightened Wax— are helping Mannella start an imprint named after the restaurant, operated by the crew that eats there. Manella is new to Berlin but has been active in Milan for a decade previous. DIY is "the pseudonym of a tin famished young producer that moved to Neukölln from the grey border between Italy and Yugoslavia. Modular specialist and digital chewer, a name to keep an eye on." The two-track EP comes with a Cristian Vogel remix on the flip. Check out samples of both tracks below.
