A dozen local acts will help celebrate at The Imperial Hotel this weekend.
Sydney outfit Picnic will celebrate their seventh birthday at The Imperial Hotel on March 28th.
Since 2008 the party brand run by local DJ Kali has hosted a range of international and domestic acts from the house, disco and techno spectrum including Andrew Weatherall, Derrick May, Pantha Du Prince and Moritz Von Oswald. Their ongoing One Night Stand series has seen homegrown jocks Simon Caldwell, Tornado Wallace and Phil Smart play all-night sets in a variety of club and warehouse spaces. To mark the seven-year milestone, 12 local artists will be spinning in the Imperial's basement, including Ben Fester, Slow-Blow, D&D (Dean Dixon and Dave Fernandes), Cassette, Valerie Yum, Marc Jarvin, Mike Witcombe, Preacha and Rimbombo as well as Picnic organisers Kali, Adi Toohey and RA staffer Andy Webb.
Tickets to the gig are available here on RA.
