  • Underworld, Heller & Farley and The Misterons will release two cover versions of "Baby Wants To Ride" via Junior Boy's Own on March 31st. Speaking on the release, label co-founder Terry Farley says, "Twenty-five years ago, Frankie championed the early music Pete Heller and I made and many of the first releases on Junior Boys Own. He helped turn a group of suburban London music fans into DJs and producers who could travel the world, simply by his patronage." UK electronica giants Underworld also speak reverentially of the late Chicago legend. "Karl [Hyde] and I have always seen Frankie as the source," says founding member Rick Smith. "As Underworld, we’re always swimming in his river." The limited 12-inch and download are available on the release's own official site. Proceeds will go towards the Frankie Knuckles Fund, which benefits men with high risk of HIV in Africa, as well as African communities in the UK and African-American communities in the US.
