  • MUTEK 2015 has announced the second wave of acts for this year's festival. The Montreal experimental arts and music festival will begin on May 27th and run through until May 31st. Highlights of the second phase include a couple of seasoned acts—Mika Vainio and Fumiya Tanaka—plus a host of underground house and techno names like Dasha Rush, Patricia, Anthony Naples, Basic House, Svengalisghost, Perfume Advert, Karen Gwyer and Gunnar Haslam. There's plenty of Canadian talent too, with Cabaal, Waveshaper, Stärker, Seekersinternational, Réservoir and Pheek all confirmed. They join previously announced acts like Andy Stott, Rrose and James Holden on the bill. For the full lineup so far, head over to the RA event page. The coming weeks will see MUTEK organisers announce details of the audiovisual performances for the A/VISIONS series at Théâtre Maisonneuve, plus the festival's free programme comprising the outdoor EXPÉRIENCE series, the late-night PLAY events and daytime workshops, showrooms, panels and Q&As at the Phi Centre.
