  • The next World Minimal Music Festival will take place in Amsterdam from April 8th through 12th. World Minimal Music Festival is a biennial concert series dedicated to experimental minimal music. A variety of big name minimalists perform at each edition, ranging from bands to composers to solo producers. One of this year's highlights is a Terry Riley tribute concert on April 11th, where contemporary electronic musicians James Holden, Luke Abbott, Koreless and Young Marco will each perform Riley pieces. James Holden has even built a pair of "chaotic sequencers" in homage to Riley, which he'll use during his performance. Other artists billed for concerts include Terry Riley himself, renowned Indian musician Nayan Ghosh, Australian band The Necks and Scottish percussionist Colin Currie Group.
