  • Jaakko Eino Kalevi will release a self-titled album on June 15th through Domino offshoot Weird World. The Finnish producer has mostly put out records on Finnish label Helmi Levyt and his own JEKS Viihde, though 2014 saw him sign up to Tim Sweeney's Beats In Space Records for a 12-inch called Yin Yang Theatre. He also appeared on Honest Jon's recently as a collaborator on DJ Sotofett's double-pack. "I played the 'self-titled' card this time because for many people this album will be their first encounter with my music," says Jaakko, a former tram driver in Helsinki who's recently relocated to Berlin. "Also, I get my name misspelled so often that I think it's good to focus on that at this point." In addition to the regular LP, a deluxe version of Jaakko Eino Kalevi will feature a bonus 7-inch and a full colour comic illustrated by Finnish catroonist Vilunki 3000. Listen to album track "Double Talk" below.
