- A 70-minute recording of the Downwards man DJing in Berlin will come out on Samuel Kerridge's fledgling label.
A 70-minute DJ set of jungle and drum & bass by Karl O'Connor will come out on cassette via Contort Records.
Contort is a new label run by Samuel Kerridge and his wife, Hayley: it launched in February 2015 with Kerridge's second album, Always Offended Never Ashamed. The second release comes from O'Connor, best known as Regis, and it's a recording of his DJ set at a Contort party in November 2014. According to Kerridge, O'Connor started his set at about 7 PM on a Sunday night and "what followed surprised everyone, working his way through an enviable selection of jungle and drum & bass." The recording, titled Post Crucifixion, will be housed in artwork by John Osborn. It marks the start of a new series on the label featuring live recordings from Contort events.
Contort Records will release Post Crucifixion on April 2nd, 2015.
