- The seven-track LP was performed by an orchestra in Tokyo.
Henrik Schwarz has composed an album for Sony Classical called Instruments.
The album is the most recent work to emerge from Schwarz's ongoing collaborations with the Tokyo Secret Orchestra. According to one of the Berliner's Facebook posts, it's been four years in the making, and involved Schwarz writing music to be performed and recorded by a Japanese ensemble at Tsukiji Honganji Temple in Tokyo, then edited with the help of classically-trained musician Johannes Brecht. The ensemble has also performed some of Schwarz's more well-known tracks, including "Walk Music" and his remix of Coldcut and Robert Owens' "Walk A Mile In My Shoes." String, wind and percussion instruments all feature across the album, which you can preview below.
