Oslo's Smalltown Supersound will release Todd Rundgren, Emil Nikolaisen and Lindstrøm's Runddans on May 5th.
We first reported on the collaboration last February, and now, according to Pitchfork, the project has blossomed into a full album. It was the result of a casual Oslo studio session between the pop-rock legend, Serena-Maneesh member (Nikolaisen) and the space disco innovator. In a brief documentary released by the label, Rundgren says, "the first day we ever got together on the project, I don't think we ever thought that three years later, this would be the baby that resulted from that collaboration." The clips included in the film imply Runddans will be an epic work of maximalist prog-disco.
