- The US producer has dropped the FaltyDL alias on his next LP.
Drew Lustman, best known for his work as Falty DL, has an album on the way for Planet Mu as The Crystal Cowboy.
Planet Mu say Lustman put the record together quickly, "free of the connotations and associations of his Falty DL moniker," working mostly in the early hours of the morning. It draws on the tempos of hardcore and drum & bass and touches on elements of soul and jazz—the kind of music Lustman "would DJ with or play to friends without the pressure of the conceptual weighing him down," the label says. There's one collaboration: rapper Le1f appears on a tune called "Onyx."
The Crystal Cowboy arrives a year on from the most recent FaltyDL album, In The WIld, which came out on Ninja Tune.
