  • Catz 'N Dogz will release their next album, Basic Colour Theory, via their own Pets Recordings on May 19th. The new record, which follows a pair of LPs for Claude VonStroke's Mothership label, is their poppiest effort to date. The duo of Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk invited a number of guest vocalists to contribute to the project, including Green Velvet and Phat Kat. Basic Colour Theory is also the first full-length for their own Pets Recordings, an imprint that has otherwise issued cuts from acts like Tom Demac, KiNK and Eats Everything. Unsurprisingly, they credit a busy schedule of DJ gigs as influential on the new work. We recently reported on a WMC boat party headlined by Catz 'N Dogz along with some of their Pets Recordings friends. Speaking on the inspiration behind the new album the group says "it’s our third album and we did a lot of research, preparation, reading, watching documentaries about the music scene, people and looking for inspirations everywhere." You can stream the album opener "Good Touch" below.
